After receiving waves of support for his 2019 demos, Latin music songwriter-composer El Toro
started refining his songs during the COVID pandemic.

 

Today, he has joined AJA Music exclusively as a Latin music artist and is ready to present his songs, which the artist describes as “a stroll on Latin shores, thought of as a voyage, between dreams, desires and hope “.
 

Born in a Surinamese family and raised in the Netherlands, El Toro began his adult life in the sparkling city of Amsterdam. He writes, composes and sings in multiple languages (English, Sranang Tongo and Spanish) and has performed on many Dutch stages.
 

The new original arrangements and striking sound design with a minimalistic approach, giving way to El Toro’s voice, sometimes whispered, then rounder and stronger, hovering over layers of sounds and catching Latin rhythms. He goes on to explain: "Blue mixed in red gives purple, a colour that invites passion, dreams, intimacy and has a touch of mystery”.

Charismatic and touching in his one-man-show, the singer balances between tension and release
while adding to the experience with live vocal talent, mixing his voice with airy instruments, all on deep and catchy beats.
